Actor Dodla Charan, who acted as hero in Ishtam (2001), passed away on Monday morning following a heart attack. He complained of chest pain and was admitted at Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad, where he breathed his last.

After Istam, Charan did not act in any films. Charan was the ex-husband of Supriya, Nagarjuna’s niece and granddaughter of Akkeneni Nageswara Rao. The couple split a few years ago.
