An assurance from Vidya Balan

It is a common question that people ask when an actress rocks in other language movies than her own mother tongue; "When you are going to act in your mother tongue, since you hail from our state?" Though the question has become a cliché by being asked to many actresses in Kollywood, Tollywood and Bollywood, some times it evokes our curiosity, when it comes to a pretty actress like Vidya Balan!

In fact Vidya Balan, a Malayalee by birth, was offered a role in a Malayalam film titled Chakram opposite Mohanlal. But the film was unfortunately abandoned mid-way through production. Now it is her turn to answer the question about her debut into Malayalam!

"It is going to take a while because I have my hands full with Hindi films. But I would surely like to do it some point in time," she assured during a live chat organised by a website for her fans across the country.

Vidya Balan is currently doing a film called Chenab Gandhi which is being produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. She will be sharing her screen space with Big B Amitabh Bachchan in Chenab Gandhi which is expected to release in 2009.
