'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Haasan shared a press note extending his congratulations to the winners at the 69th National Film Awards on Friday, August 25. The iconic Tamil actor extended his wishes after the Centre announced the recipients for the national honor in arts and entertainment at the National Media Center in New Delhi yesterday. Kamal Haasan wrote, "The 69th National Film Awards have been announced. The news of Kadaisi Vivasayi winning the Best Tamil Film award and the late Nallandi being given a Special Mention in the Feature Films category for his role in the same film is heart-warming. My love and appreciation to the film's producer Vijay Sethupathi and director M. Manikandan." 

Continuing with his praise and this time for the entire team of Pushpa: The Rise - Part 1, Kamal Haasan congratulated Allu Arjun for creating history by becoming the first Telugu actor to win the Best Actor award, while also complimenting Tamil actor R. Madhavan for winning the Best Film accolade in his directorial debut for Rocketry: The Nambi Effect in Hindi. He then wished S. S. Rajamouli and his team after RRR won top honors in various categories at the 69th National Film Awards, while also commending composer Devi Sri Prasad for coming out on top by bagging the Best Music award for his work in Pushpa: The Rise - Part 1, and Shreya Ghoshal for her Best Female Playback Singer award for her song 'Maayava Chaayavaa in Iravin Nizhal. Kamal Haasan also conveyed his hearty wishes to director B. Lenin for winning the Best Educational Film award in the Non-Feature category for Sirpigalin Sirpangal, while lauding Srikanth Deva for receiving a Special Mention in the same category for Best Music in Karuvarai
