Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu resumed shooting on Wednesday as he shot this time for a commercial after a long seven-month break from his regular working schedule, which took a hit due to the coronavirus pandemic crisis. The advertisement he had shot for today was canned at the Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad and will continue on Thursday as well. A picture of the star on the sets has gone viral on social media, in which he can be seen in the midst of a discussion with the director.

The team behind the commercial shoot have taken all mandatory precautions for the shoot to proceed without any COVID-19 interruptions which includes temperature checks, sanitisation of hands, oxygen level check, provision of safety kits (mask, hand gloves, face shield, PPE kits) and all cast and crew members being provided with safety gears to wear.

Mahesh Babu is expected to resume shooting for his upcoming film, Sarkaru Vaari Paata, which was indefinitely halted due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Being directed by Geetha Govindham fame, the film is reportedly based on various bank fraud incidents that rocked the nation some time back. Furthermore, it is being stated that the team will likely be heading to the US towards the end of the year for a long schedule. A major part of the film is expected to be shot in exotic locations across the US, especially in Washington DC.

As of now, no heroine has been finalized to be paired opposite Mahesh Babu in Sarkaru Vaari Paata, with Bollywood sensation Ananya Panday featuring in the buzz for being a contender. The film's technical crew comprises SS Thaman for the music, PS Vinod handling the cinematography and Marthand K Venkatesh for editing.

Upon the completion of Sarkaru Vaari Paata, Mahesh Babu will be teaming up with blockbuster director SS Rajamouli, who as well is yet to complete work on his pan-Indian magnum opus period action drama, RRR, which features a star-studded cast among whom are Ram Charan and Jr. NTR as the film's leads followed by Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Samuthirakani and others in major supporting roles. The Mahesh Babu-SS Rajamouli team up has been teased for years and the Baahubali director had not long back confirmed that the project will be produced by KL Narayana.
