One more heroine joins Thalapathy 63
96 directed by Premkumar is a unanimous success at the box office as well at the audiences’ heart. The film was all about two teenage lovers meeting after two decades and realizing their love intact. Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha had done an amazing job in the film whose feel was elevated by the divinely music of Govind Vasantha. The film is being remade in Kannada and Telugu too where Bhavana and Samantha are reprising the role of Trisha respectively.
In 96, there is a very cute role of Vijay Sethupathi’s student played by Varsha Bollamma who had appeared in other films such as Sathuran, Vetrivel, Ivan Yaarendru Therigiradha and the likes. But it was her role in 96 that shot the young girl to phenomenal heights and this visibility had fetched her a pivotal role in Thalapathy 63. Sources close to the unit tell us that Varsha Bollamma has been roped in to the project. They say, “Varsha has been signed to play one of the girls who play football for Tamil Nadu in the team headed by Induja”.
Earlier on we had reported that Reba Monica John along with Robo Shankar’s daughter have also been brought to play the roles of girls who play football for Tamil Nadu. Now Varsha has also joined this team which is reportedly being trained by Vijay. Produced by AGS Entertainment, Thalapathy 63 has Nayanthara as the heroine with Kathir, Jackie Shroff, Yogi Babu, Vivek, Daniel Balaji, Anandraj and others in supporting cast. AR Rahman scores music while GK Vishnu handles camera department. The film is slated for a Diwali release.
