Finally, STR begins shooting for his next film on Election results day
STR had a rollicking 2018 with his Chekka Chivantha Vaanam under Mani Ratnam’s direction turning out to be a box office blockbuster.
Despite Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven not tasting a grand success, the actor left his fans ecstatic with back-to-back announcements regarding his upcoming projects that include the action political entertainer, Maanaadu, under Venkat Prabhu’s direction and Studio Green’s Tamil remake of the hit Kannada film, Mufti, in which Simbu will be seen alongside Gautham Karthik with newcomer Narthan helming the film.
Meanwhile, it was revealed a while back that STR would be playing a cameo in Hansika’s upcoming film, Maha, which incidentally is also her landmark 50th film.
Being directed by U. R. Jameel, the upcoming thriller produced under the Etcetera Entertainment banner is also composer Ghibran’s 25th film and includes Srikanth as the male lead followed by Thambi Ramaiah, Karunakaran, Nassar among others in vital supporting roles.
That said, Maha’s director U. R. Jameel took to his Twitter page to officially announce that Simbu has joined the sets of the film to begin shooting his portions while also sharing pictures of himself and his team in high spirits.
It must be noted that the Simbu-Hansika pairing went on to become a fan favorite after both of them appeared in the 2015 romantic action entertainer, Vaalu, with many wanting to witness them on the big screen once again since then.
