One of the biggest and most anticipated films in recent times, the audio launch for ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay’s Sarkar is underway now in full swing at the Sai Ram Engineering College at Chennai.
Produced under the Sun Pictures banner, Sarkar features music by Academy Award-winning composer A. R. Rahman, who is scoring for a Vijay film for the fourth time after their previous Udhaya, Azhagiya Tamil Magan and last year’s blockbuster, Mersal.
That said, Sarkar composer A. R. Rahman, when asked what keeps him so young and vibrant, the Oscar-winning music director replied saying, "I work with young heroes which is why I am young. Take our hero Vijay for instance."
As for Vijay singing in one of his films, ARR responded saying, "We actually tried to make him sing a song for Sarkar. We spoke over the phone when he told the song's range was too high and that he would get back. By that time, the song too got released".
