Actress Yashika Aannand became a sensation after starring in the Tamil adult comedy film, Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuththu, in 2018. Her casting alongside Gautham Karthik, Vaibhavi Shandilya and Sha Raa not only boosted the film overall, but also went on to make her a heart-throb among the youth, with the up-and-coming actress since then garnering a huge fan following on her social media pages. She had earlier made her debut in a minor role as a swimming instructor in the Jiiva and Kajal Aggarwal starrer, Kavalai Vendam, and followed it up with the smash hit neo-noir crime thriller film, Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru. She then went on to be cast in Vijay Deverakonda's NOTA and also the comedy horror film, Zombie, last year alongside Yogi Babu. 

Having said that, Yashika went on to become a household name across Tamil Nadu after participating as a contestant in the second season of the smash hit Tamil reality TV show, Bigg Boss, which was hosted by Kamal Haasan. Her appearance on the show not only made her a notable name among Tamil audiences, but also made common folk take note of her. 

Yashika, who is often active on social media, shares pictures and videos, with the actress recently posting a picture of herself holding the hand of a person, who is not to be shown completely in the frame amidst a restobar backdrop. Captioning the picture as "Date", the photo has raised a lot of curiosity among fans as to who the special person is, with followers posting queries inquiring for more details, for which she is yet to reply. 

On the professional front, Yashika Aannand will be seen in a few notable upcoming films starting with Ivan Than Uthaman, which will see her reunite with her Bigg Boss 2 housemate Mahat Raghavendra. She was also announced to be a part of Nayanthara's devotional film, Mookuthi Amman, in which she is paired opposite her IAMK co-star Gautham Karthik. The film, which marks the directorial debut of RJ Balaji, was scheduled to hit theatres in May this year, but has since been postponed indefinitely due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
