Vishal - Arya starrer Enemy is currently in the final stages of post-production and works are happening in full swing. Vishal is currently dubbing for his portions in the film and he had recently shared the update on his official social media page as well. The makers have now made the much-awaited announcement on the release plans of Enemy. This stylish action entertainer has been officially announced to release on October 14, marking the festive occasion of Aayudha Pooja. The film will have a theatrical release. Vishal took to his official social media pages to announce the release date. Sharing a new poster of the film, Vishal tweeted, "#Enemy WORLDWIDE Grand Release on #AyudhaPooja".

Arya will be seen playing the antagonist in this film and it is going to be exciting to witness the epic face off between Arya and Vishal. Produced by Vinod Kumar under the banner of Mini Studio, Enemy features Vishal, Arya, Mirnalini Ravi, Thambi Ramaiah, Prakash Raj, Karunakaran, and Mamta Mohandas in the star cast. The film is directed by Anand Shankar of Arima Nambi and Iru Mugan fame and has background music composed by Sam CS. The songs have been composed by S Thaman who has already delivered two chartbuster singles in the form of 'Pathala' and the newly released 'Tum Tum'. The rest of the album is expected to be released very soon.

Enemy will be Vishal's next release in Tamil cinema after Chakra. Arya's last release was Sarpatta Parambarai which opened to highly positive reviews from the critics and general audience. He will be looking forward to continuing the success with Enemy as well. RD Rajasekhar and Raymond Derrick Crasta have handled the cinematography and editing departments respectively, while the stunt choreography is taken care of by Ravi Verma. The screenplay of Enemy is written by Anand Shankar, Shan Karuppusamy, and S Ramakrishnan.
