One of Tamil film industry's favorite couples, leading actress Nayanthara and director Vignesh Shivan have been surprising fans of late with a number of film announcements as producers under their Rowdy Pictures banner. The popular Tamil cinema couple first collaborated in 2015 for the rom-com Naanum Rowdydhaan and are currently working together once again in the upcoming film, Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, which has 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi as the hero, including Samantha Akkineni as the second female lead. Vignesh Shivan and Nayanthara had launched their Rowdy Pictures and had subsequently announced a number of projects they were developing, who on Monday revealed the title to their next production venture. 

Vijay Sethupathi and composer Anirudh Ravichander announced on social media the title of Vignesh Shivan and Nayanthara's next film as producers to be as Walking Talking Strawberry Icecream, which will mark the directorial debut of Vinayak V. Launching the title look poster, Anirudh wrote on Twitter, "Happy to launch the title of a very cute love story #WalkingTalkingStrawberryIcecream @vinayakv_ a superb talent debuts as director, produced by @Rowdy_Pictures @VigneshShivN #Nayanthara who always pick up and make superb content! All the best for yet another super success". Retweeting Anirudh's post, Vignesh Shivan wrote, "Thank you sooo much king @Rowdy_Pictures happy for you @vinayakv_  your first film has to be the best one :) Congrats for this and many more films written by u :) Happy to be producing this". 

The upcoming Walking Talking Strawberry Icecream will be Vignesh Shivan-Nayanthara's next big production venture after their upcoming crime thriller film, Netrikann, which has been directed by Milind Rau of Aval fame. The superstar couple are also co-producing their Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal in association with Lalit Kumar's 7 Screen Studios, which will also include music by Anirudh. Apart from the production ventures, Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan are also distributing films like debut director Arun Matheswaran's film, Rocky that stars Taramani fame Vasanth Ravi and veteran director Bharathiraja in the lead roles. Furthermore, they had acquired the theatrical distribution rights of Koozhangal (Pebbles) directed by debutant PS Vinoth Raj, which recently won the prestigious Tiger Award in the competition section of the International Film Festival of Rotterdam, incidentally making it the first Tamil film to win the honor.
