In a shocking incident, stuntman N. Suresh died on Saturday, December 3, due to an accident during the shooting of an action sequence in filmmaker Vetri Maaran's upcoming film, Viduthalai, starring Soori and Vijay Sethupathi, which is being produced by S. Elred Kumar's RS Infotainment banner. He was 54. According to reports, Suresh had fallen from a height of 20 feet after a rope he was attached to had split, despite safety precautions being in place. Suresh is survived by his wife and daughter. The news of Suresh's demise has come as a big shock to the film industry and fans, with Viduthalai producer Elred Kumar releasing a statement and expressing his condolences on Monday. 

Elred Kumar wrote, "It brings deep grief and misery in us to inform that our beloved stuntman N. Suresh passed away due to an accident while shooting an action sequence for Viduthalai. Despite our complete safety and precautionary measures including a standby ambulance, we couldn't save this pure soul. It's a huge loss to our entire team, which will be an unfading ache in our hearts and memories. We express our heartfelt condolences to family members, close relatives and friends of N.Suresh grieving his demise. May his soul rest in peace." Below is Elred Kumar's statement:

Viduthalai is coming out in two parts and will see Soori making his debut as the hero in the role of a policeman, while Vijay Sethupathi is playing a convict, with Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Rajiv Menon, Chethan, and Bhavani Sre cast in pivotal roles. The film is one of the most-anticipated ventures in recent times and marks the first occasion Vetri Maaran is collaborating with legendary composer 'Maestro' Ilaiyaraaja. Viduthalai is adapted from a short story titled 'Thunaivan' penned by acclaimed Tamil writer Jeyamohan and will be released in Tamil Nadu by Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies.
