National Award-winning Tamil filmmaker Vetri Maaran will be making a web series next for leading streaming platform ZEE5. The news has been announced by legendary cinematographer PC Sreeram, who confirmed his involvement in the upcoming project on Twitter on Tuesday evening, December 6. A stalwart in Indian cinema and an inspiration to many aspiring to make it big in Tamil cinema, PC Sreeram informed that the web series will be written by Vetri Maaran, who will also serve as the show-runner, while the details on the cast and other crew members will be announced soon. He tweeted, "My next project will be  with Director #Vetri Maaran . It will be for a web serial  written and show run by him  for #Zee5.  Major cast &  other details will be announced soon." Vetri Maaran has for the most part of his career collaborated with cinematographer Velraj and the upcoming web series will mark the first time he is teaming up with PC Sreeram for a project. The news of these two big names in Tamil cinema coming together for the web series will no doubt create a lot of curiosity and excitement among fans and it now remains to be seen what the duo is cooking up ahead for fans next. Vetri Maaran's project will be PC Sreeram's next after he worked on the Naga Chaitanya and Raashii Khanna-starrer Thank You released earlier this year. 

As for Vetri Maaran, the filmmaker has a busy schedule up ahead as he has several big ventures in various stages of development among which include the two-parter Viduathalai starring Soori and Vijay Sethupathi and the highly-anticipated Vaadivaasal with Suriya. He has also penned the story of Ameer's Iraivan Miga Periyavan, while serving as the screenwriter for the Raghava Lawrence-starrer Adhigaaram. Vetri Maaran is also the show-runner of another web series titled Nilamellam Ratham, which will star Ameer in the lead role. Furthermore, there have been talks that Vetri Maaran has held discussions with 'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Haasan and 'Thalapathy' Vijay for different projects and the buzz surrounding them too have been massive ever since the word came out.
