Director Murali Karthik of Kalavu is busy working on the final leg of the shoot and has had a peculiar choice for his roles.

When questioned as to why he picked Venkat Prabhu to play a cop, he said, “I have seen a lot of movies and all of them try to portray the police in an unrealistic manner. An average policeman wouldn’t be too serious 24/7 as seen in some movies or would be extremely comical like in other films.”

“Venkat Prabhu has a comical sense which will be utilized in his role as a cop but it will not be too funny but rather close to real life,” he said. Kalavu features Kalaiyarasan, Abirami and Karunakaran in the lead roles.
