Third SFFI begins

Here is good news for all film buffs with a taste for short films. The third Short Film Festival of India (SFFI) – organized annually by Don Bosco Institute of Communication Arts (DBICA) – was inaugurated today by Rajiv Menon and editor Lenin. The inauguration ceremony was attended by eminent filmmakers including R.D. Rajasekar, Sasi, and Balaji Sakthivel. The two-day festival, held at South India Film Chamber of Commerce under the patronage of DBICA, will project a marvellous collection of short films made both by professional and amateur filmmakers. There is no restriction on entry; any one who loves cinema is welcome.

This year, 70 films from 15 countries will be shown; the films and documentaries selected for this film festival have profound ideas and are marvels of creative thinking. For those who would like to expand their knowledge of cinema, SFFI is a good place to learn from, as several alternate genre and untried themes could be found here.

DBICA is a non-profit media and communication arts organization intended to take film-making to the next higher level by making path-breaking films based on innovative themes, encouraging filmmakers to produce such films, and assisting upcoming filmmakers.
