Blockbuster South Indian composer Thaman. S recently revealed during an episode of Super Singer Junior season 9 on Vijay Television that he will be working with Yuvan Shankar Raja soon as a programmer on an upcoming film. Having hit the bullseye with his chart-topping hit songs and a powerful background score in 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Varisu earlier this year, Thaman, who is on the judging panel for this season of Star Vijay's Super Singer along with playback singers K.S. Chithra, Thaman. S, and Anthony Daasan, stated that Yuvan Shankar Raja and Harris Jayaraj are his favorite music programmers and are the only composers in his life, whom he has requested to collaborate with.

Speaking about wanting to collaborate with Harris Jayaraj, Thaman revealed that he calls on the Dhruva Natchathiram composer even now to work with him since it has been a long-time wish to band together with him on one song. He then went on to reveal that he is soon going to join forces with Yuvan Shankar Raja on the programming front for a big upcoming film, which he didn't disclose. Upon being asked by the Super Singer 9 anchor whether the project he will be collaborating on with Yuvan Shankar Raja is going to be the tentatively titled Thalapathy 68 under Venkat Prabhu's direction, Thaman, with a big grin on his face, said that he won't speak about it, leading to fans immediately speculating whether it could indeed be for the Vijay-starrer.
Although Thaman hasn't given any direct confirmation as yet about working with Yuvan Shankar Raja for Vijay's Thalapathy 68, the excitement levels have shot up among fans, who have been debating the possibility of them coming together for the Venkat Prabhu directorial, and it now remains to be seen in the days ahead what project the composers will be teaming up for. As known already, Thalapathy 68 is being produced under the prestigious AGS Entertainment and is scheduled for a grand theatrical release in 2024. It is also the production banner's landmark 25th film and the second time they are working with Vijay after the box-office money-spinner Bigil (2019).
