A film that has been carrying massive expectations right from its announcement last year, Thalapathy 63, starring Vijay in the lead role is the third occasion the superstar is joining hands with director Atlee and this time under the AGS Entertainment banner.
Featuring music by Academy Award-winning composer A. R. Rahman, Vijay 63 is touted to be a sports drama and also includes Nayanthara as the female lead, Kathir, Vivek, Yogi Babu, Anandraj, Daniel Balaji among others with the film announced to hit screens as a Diwali release later this year.
Production on Thalapathy 63 is being carried forward at a steady pace with the team predominantly shooting key portions in and around Chennai since filming began in January.
Meanwhile, shooting has been going on at the SRM College in Chennai for the past two days with a picture of director Atlee now doing the rounds across social networking forums.
Vijay 63 is a highly anticipated film as it will also be the first film for both Vijay and Nayanthara together after their last release, Villu, nearly a decade back and is now a major USP among fans, who have been waiting for years to witness them in action on the big screen again.
