National Award-winning Tamil actor Suriya's next big film, Kanguva, is progressing at a brisk pace and will be coming out in theatres in 2024. Being directed by Viswasam and Annaatthe fame Siva, the upcoming film being jointly produced by K. E. Gnanavel Raja's Studio Green and Vamsi-Pramod's UV Creations banners had its title announced in April to a huge response. With Suriya's look yet to be revealed and as fans continue to wait for a new glimpse of the film, producer Gnanavel Raja recently sat down with Galatta in an exclusive interview to talk about the Kanguva teaser release plans, while also sharing a few more important updates about the highly-ambitious project.
Speaking about the Kanguva teaser release plans, Gnanavel Raja said, "It is almost ready. Five big stars in five languages are giving background voices and the work is currently underway. In Tamil, one big actor is doing the background voice. The suspense will go away if I share who that is now. Similarly, superstars in Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu, and Hindi are providing voice and we have an idea to do it as an event. And, the teaser will be released then." Upon being queried whether the Kanguva teaser will be out soon, the hit producer said, "It will definitely come in June."
Expectations for Kanguva are getting bigger by the day after Suriya's character was teased in the title announcement as "a Man with Power of Fire & the Saga of a Mighty Valiant Hero" and it will be intriguing to see how the actor's role shapes up to be. Announced to be coming out in 3D and in 10 languages, the film also stars Disha Patani as the female lead, who is incidentally making her Tamil cinema debut, with music being composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
