'Superstar' Rajinikanth's Jailer continues to rake in the moolah at the box office and has now been officially declared to be the highest-grossing South Indian film of all time in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Countries. Leading film distribution and production company Ayngaran International announced the big news on social media informing that the mass action entertainer has broken all existing records in the GCC countries after prestigious production banner Sun Pictures recently revealed that the film crossed 525 crores in worldwide collections. 

Rajinikanth's Jailer has turned out to be the icing on the cake for Tamil cinema in 2023 as it continues to witness a phenomenal audience turnout in theatres worldwide. The Nelson Dilipkumar directorial featuring music composed by 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander recently also crossed the $5.5 million mark at the US box office in 14 days, with the film released in Tamil and Telugu languages running in 100+ theaters during its third week of screening. It is to be noted that Jailer created a new overseas record by becoming the highest-grossing Rajinikanth film in the USA and also registered more than 525,000 admissions in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the GCC countries a few days back, which remains to be the most number of entries for a Tamil film to date. 

Jailer has been powered by a number of factors at the box office starting with 'Superstar' Rajinikanth's powerful performance, director Nelson Dilipkumar's engaging story and screenplay, Anirudh's hit songs and thunderous background score along with a host of electrifying cameos and guest appearances by several big Indian cinema stars. All sights are now set on whether the film will scale higher peaks in the days ahead to create new box office collection records and fans will surely be looking forward to more good news from the team.
