Nelson dilipkumar reveals how superstar rajinikanth and thalapathy vijay offered support and confidence jailer beast - Tamil Movie Cinema News

Tamil filmmaker Nelson Dilipkumar continues to be the talk of the town after the spectacular box office success of his Jailer, starring 'Superstar' Rajinikanth in the lead role. With the mass action entertainer film still witnessing a strong showing in theatres three weeks after its release, the hit director recently sat down for an exclusive interview with Galatta to talk to acclaimed and National Award-winning Tamil actress Suhasini Maniratnam about how Rajinikanth offered him support during the production of Jailer, and how 'Thalapathy Vijay motivated him after the mixed feedback for their Beast (2022).

Speaking about how Vijay lifted him up after the criticism that came his way for Beast, Nelson said, "He was the same both before and after the release of the film. He won't say it openly, but we'll know that he's trying to support us morally in a subtle manner, and we'd talk about things in general. But, he would tell others that I would definitely hit the bullseye with Jailer. Even when I recently met VTV Ganesh, he [Vijay] told him six months back that I would hit the mark for sure with my next film and he'd be motivating us from behind all the time."

Talking about how Rajinikanth supported him while filming Jailer, Nelson said, "Any negative thing about us that goes to him, he won't show it to us. He would ignore that and keep moving to a positive place because we're doing a film currently and would want to keep us in that space. I myself know that people must have said things about me, but he'd ignore all that and speak to us. That itself is a positive thing." Furthermore, Nelson spoke about Rajinikanth's straightforward nature and said, "Whatever opinion he might have, he'll not hesitate to put it across. But, if we have a different opinion on a matter and convey it to him, he'll hear that out too. He's not one who will force anything on anyone, but he will be upfront in his views. Everything will be within that discussion and the end decision will be mutual."
