This latest announcement about Maanadu getting cleared for release will no doubt come as a tremendous relief for Simbu fans everywhere, who were taken aback by Suresh Kamatchi's statement earlier in the day about the film getting postponed. The excitement for the upcoming film revolving around the concept of time-loop has been huge, with fans in celebration mode for a while now. The Maanaadu pre-release event, which was held last week, created a lot of buzz for the film, which will see STR playing the role of a Muslim character called Abdul Khaaliq. The film was initially announced in mid-2018 and was delayed before production finally flagged off early last year.
Maanaadu's star cast, which is being powered by Silambarasan, includes many notable names among whom are SJ Suryah in a massive role, followed by Kalyani Priyadarshan playing the female lead, with veteran directors SA Chandrasekhar and Bharathiraja, Y. Gee. Mahendra, Premgi Amaren, Karunakaran, Daniel Annie Pope among others in pivotal supporting roles.
