Reputed production house Studio Green’s upcoming film, tentatively titled Production No: 20 or STR 45, with Simbu and Gautham Karthik in the lead roles began shooting a few days back amidst much excitement after a formal pooja. Filming has since been progressing at a steady pace under director Narthan, who is making his debut in Tamil cinema. That said, Gautham Karthik took to his Twitter page to share an emotional post where he narrates how he and Simbu had put in their hard work despite the tough surroundings yesterday (June 27) and are still going forward with director Narthan.
STR 45 has been carrying massive expectations right from the moment of its announcement by producer K. E. Gnanavelaraja with many speculating the film is a remake of director Narthan’s Kannada blockbuster, Mufti, which had Shiva Rajkumar playing an underworld don and Srimurali appearing as a police officer. Although nothing has been confirmed as yet, it is being said Simbu and Gautham Karthik are reprising the roles of Shiva Rajkumar and Srimurali from Mufti. It remains to be seen if STR 45 is indeed going to be a remake of the hit Kannada film, which we will get to know as the days progress.
Simbu and Gautham Karthik have been sharing a good rapport ever since STR 45 rolled into production with the former gifting a stylish cooling glass to the latter and a video subsequently released of the incident, which went on become a viral hit on social media. There is plenty of hype surrounding the project as many expect an out-and-out intense action entertainer.
