Leading Tamil actor-producer Sivakarthkeyan is all set for the release of his first big film of 2023 with Maaveeran coming out in theatres worldwide on July 14. The upcoming action drama also releasing in Telugu under the title Mahaveerudu is being distributed across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana under the Asian Cinemas banner. With less than a week left for the film's release, Sivakarthikeyan and the Maaveeran team are going full-out with the promotions and took part in the Mahaveerudu pre-release event at Hyderabad on Saturday, July 8.
Several important Telugu cinema personalities took part in the Mahaveerudu pre-release event among whom was actor Adivi Sesh, who surprised fans by revealing that Sivakarthikeyan will soon be making his big Bollywood debut soon. Speaking at the grand promotional event, the popular Telugu actor recalled his first meeting with Sivakarthikeyan and said, "I was surprised when he hugged me like a long-lost friend and said hello. I felt within myself that he is such a nice human being. And, that's when I realized that he's not just a big star, but he's a big star with a big heart. After Telugu now, he's going to debut in Hindi too next." Adding that he feels extremely happy to be speaking at the Mahaveerudu pre-release event, Adivi Sesh stated that he considers himself not just as Sivakarthikeyan's friend, but as his fan and who he is as a person.
Adivi Sesh further said, "The one common factor between me and Sivakarthikeyan is that we both are outsiders in this industry. He's like my idol. Having started in television, he then appeared in supporting roles and became one of the top stars in Tamil cinema and is now about to create a rampage in Telugu cinema, and I'm very excited to watch Mahaveerudu." Although no further details about SK's big Bollywood debut have been revealed, the news has indeed come as a big surprise to the actor's fans, who are now looking forward to an announcement about his start in Hindi cinema. Directed by Mandela fame Madonne Ashwin under producer Arun Viswa's Shanthi Talkies banner, Maaveeran has Sivakarthikeyan sharing screen space with Viruman sensation Aditi Shankar, filmmaker Mysskin who is cast as the antagonist, followed by Pushpa fame Suneel, veteran actress Saritha, and comedy actor Yogi Babu in key roles, while Bharath Sankar has composed the songs and background score.
