Sharwanand is a well established artist in both Tamil and Telugu cinema industries. With starring in the Telugu remake of 96 with Samantha which is in the production phase, his Ranarangam is an action packed crime thriller, featuring Kajal Aggarwal, Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead roles. Apparently the movie narrates rags to riches story but with some major differences. Sharwanand wrote, "For some he was a criminal, to the rest a HERO. This August, Let's go back to the 90's and witness the glory of this man! #RanarangamTeaser!!". Check out the teaser below!
Set in 90's backdrop the movie seems to have major flashback portions, where he is seen with Kalyani Priyadarshan. Sharwanand is also seen sporting an older look and is playing the character of Deva in the movie. The teaser also revelas that he is having a hard time trusting people, suggested by a voice at the beginning of the teaser.
This gangster flick is directed and written by Sudheer Varma, with camera cranked by Divakar Mani, tunes composed by Prashant Pillai and edited by Navin Nooli. The crew is aiming for an August release.
