This movie, which saw success all across India, is now being remade in Tamil, under the title Thozhan! The story and screenplay have been modified to suit the current trend.

Actor Vijay's cousin Sneha Britto, the director of this movie, is a Visual Communication graduate from Loyola College. She has worked as an assistant to director S.A.
