This year has been on a good note for Santhanam as both his 2019 releases, Dhillukku Dhuddu 2 and A1, have turned out to be successful at the box office. With his success ratio gradually increasing, the comedian turned hero's next film has officially been announced. Yes, Santhanam will be joining hands with director R Kannan of Jayam Kondaan and Ivan Thanthiran fame in this new film. The announcement was made this morning on the special occasion of Vinayaga Chathurthi.

This yet to be titled film will go on floors from today (September 2) and will hit the screens in February 2020. On the technical front, this film will be shot by Shanmuga Sundaram and cut by RK Selva with stunts choreographed by Silva. This film is touted to be an action comedy drama that will satisfy all types of audiences.

Meanwhile, Kannan is also directing the untitled Atharvaa - Anupama Parameswaran film, which is the remake of Nani's Ninnu Kori. It looks like Kannan will be handling the Santhanam project and the Atharvaa project simultaneously. More details awaited. Stay tuned.
