Varalaxmi will be looking to prove her mettle once again with Yashoda as her last few films haven't exactly performed the way she would have hoped for. Yashoda will be releasing in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam languages and includes Mani Sharma for the music, cinematography by Mynaa fame Sukumar, editing by Marthand K Venkatesh forming the core technical team.

Yashoda is Samantha's next big pan-Indian film after she sometime back wrapped up Shaakuntalam, a mythological drama based on the popular Indian play Shakuntala, by classical Sanskrit author Kalidasa.
