Hindi actor Arun Verma, who is best known for starring alongside Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in the 2014 blockbuster Kick, died in Bhopal on Thursday. He was 62. The news of Verma's death has left many in the industry, including his peers and dear ones heartbroken, among whom was his friend and comedian Uday Dahia, who took to social media to share the sad news. Posting a photo of the actor, Dahia penned a heartfelt note as a tribute and said that he had passed away in Bhopal. Arun, who was also a  poet and comedian, is survived by his parents and three siblings and his funeral was held at around 4 p.m. on Thursday. Amit Verma, the late actor's nephew confirmed his death to Indian Express and said, "Arun ji passed away at 2.00 am today, he was admitted to Peoples Hospital, Bhopal. He had a block in his brain and slowly all his organs failed, including his lungs, and finally he succumbed to kidney failure."

Arun Verma began acting in the late '80s and made his debut in the 1987 Sunny Deol-starrer Dacait, following which he made appearances in films like Khal Nayak, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Nayak and more recently in Tiger Shroff's Heropanti. According to reports, Arun had wrapped up filming his portions in National Award-winning actress Kangana Ranaut's Tiku Weds Sheru, which also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur.
