BIG UPDATES: Raghava Lawrence's new exciting statement about Kanchana 4 - Chandramukhi 2 release plans revealed!

Raghava Lawrence is on cloud nine after the strong opening for his latest film, Rudhran, which opened in cinemas last week. The mass action entertainer marks the directorial debut of hit producer S. Kathiresan of 5 Star Creations, who is best known for producing films like Polladhavan, Aadukalam, Jigarthanda, including last year's Diary, and also stars Priya Bhavani Shankar as the female lead, while Sarathkumar is playing the antagonist. With Rudhran getting a good feedback in theatres across Tamil Nadu, Lawrence and producer-director Kathiresan have been visiting cinema halls across the state and celebrating the film's success along with fans. 

Lawrence, who had visited Gopuram Cinemas in Madurai on Sunday, April 16, to watch a screening of Rudhran along with the audience, later addressed the press and shared his happiness at the reaction for his latest film, which is his first big theatrical outing after a gap of four years when he was last seen in the 2019 blockbuster, Muni 4: Kanchana 3. Speaking to media persons, Lawrence went on to share a few big updates about his upcoming films that included Chandramukhi 2, Jigarthanda Double X, including dropping a word on the next venture in the blockbuster Kanchana franchise. He said, "Chandramukhi 2 is almost complete and only three songs and a fight scene remain to be shot. We're planning to release it for Vinayagar Chaturthi (September). The production on Jigarthanda 2 is also almost finished and we have only 30 more days of shooting left. Next, I'm writing the story for Kanchana 4." 

Raghava Lawrence's latest update about the next film in the Kanchana franchise will no doubt come as a mighty joyous news for fans, who have been waiting to hear a word regarding it for quite sometime. Likewise, the release plans of Chandramukhi 2 under P. Vasu's direction and the shooting update of his Jigarthanda Double X being directed Karthik Subbaraj will surely be music to the ears of fans, who are looking forward to watcj the upcoming biggies on the big screen later this year. Lawrence had last week during a special fans festival organized by Galatta Media informed that he's currently also holding discussions for a film to be directed by Meyaadha Maan, Aadai, and Gulu Gulu fame Rathna Kumar, which will have story and screenplay by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The actor-filmmaker also has in his lineup the exciting Adhigaaram being directed by R.S. Durai Senthilkumar of Ethir Neechal, Kaaki Sattai, Kodi, and Pattas fame, with story and screenplay being written by Vetri Maaran.
