Chandramukhi 2 is an anticipated sequel to 'Superstar' Rajinikanth's hit film Chandramukhi. The film has Raghava Lawrence in the lead role with Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut playing the female lead. It is produced by Subaskaran under the blockbuster banner of Lyca Productions. The makers of the film has now revealed the release date of the film with an interesting new poster. They have revealed that the film will release in theatres this year for Ganesh Chathurthi, on 19th September. They have also shared that it will release in multiple languages including Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
The new poster from the film Chandramukhi 2 shows the lead actor Raghava Lawrecece peeking through a hole in a door from which blinding light is emitted. The door featured in the poster resembles the one shown in Chandramukhi, which was released in 2005, and it looks grandly decorated with a trident. The makers have not yet revealed of the film will be a sequel to the story of the first film or a similar one line with different characters.

Lyca productions announced last week that the shooting of the film has wrapped and now they have revealed the release date of Chandramukhi 2. The film directed by veteran filmmaker P. Vasu has an huge cast that includes 'Vaigai Puyal' Vadivelu, Lakshmi Menon, Mahima Nambiar, Cook With Comali fame Srushti Dange, Radikaa Sarathkumar, Suresh Menon, Ravi Maria and others, apart from Raghava Lawrence and Kangana Ranaut. The film will also have Music composed by Oscar Award-winning composer M.M. Keeravani and also has set design by Thotta Tharani and cinematography by RD Rajsekar. With the release date of the film announced, more updates from the makers of the film are expected to be released soon including the first single and teaser. It will be the next release for the actor Raghava Lawrence after Rudhran and his other exciting project that is also set to release for Diwali this year is Jigarthanda Double X.
