Puvi Arasu and Mohanapriya's wedding saw a number of his co-stars grace the happy occasion, who as well took part in the celebrations. Having debuted on the dance reality show Maanada Mayilada season 7 in 2012, Puvi Arasu emerged as the second runner-up and impressed fans with his skills and performances. Post Maanadu Mayilada, Puvi went on to land his first acting gig in a supporting role on the hit Sun TV show, Keladi Kanmani, in 2015. He subsequently landed supporting roles on a few more notable Sun TV shows like Thamarai, EMI, including making major appearances on the Raadhika Sarathkumar's mega hit Vani Rani and Vijay TV's Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa

Post starring in supporting roles, Puvi Arasu's big break came when he was cast in a negative role on the Zee Tamil show, Lakshmi Vanthachu, which had television superstar actress Vani Bhojan playing the lead. After making heads turn with his acting skills in Lakshmi Vanthachu, Puvi next landed his first lead role and this time once again on another Zee Tamil show titled Azhagiya Tamil Magal, which had him paired opposite actress Sathya Sai, with the show enjoying a two-year run.

After the grand success of Azhagiya Tamil Magal, Puvi took yet another big stride forward by once again being cast in the lead role in the ongoing Zee Tamil show, Oru Oorla Oru Rajakumari, which has crossed over 700 episodes to date. Puvi Arasu's chemistry with actress Ashwini Radhakrishna on Oru Oorla Oru Rajakumari has been a major USP making the show a grand success and continues to go strong on the ratings table. Known to be highly-skilled, Puvi has also apart from Maanada Mayilada made appearances on a few other reality shows such as Style, Dancing Khilladies, Zee Dance League, Nanbenda and Dance Jodi Dance (season 2).
