Leading Tamil actor-producer Vishal is celebrating his birthday today (August 29) and has now penned a heart-warming statement after a glimpse video of his highly-anticipated film, Mark Antony, was released earlier in the day. The blockbuster star shared that the video was a special treat, which took him by surprise, and revealed that he was left astonished by the gesture. Reposting the Mark Antony glimpse on X, Vishal wrote, "Well, there is nothing more in life than being hit by a surprise & especially for your birthday. When I saw the video, I was taken aback by the affection shown in every frame. I do consider this as a generosity act than a video. I feel it comes from the bottom of the heart of all the people who have complied it. Thank you so much for this video, will cherish forever." (sic)
The Mark Antony glimpse shows a few big moments featuring Vishal in his look for his role in the film directed by Adhik Ravichandran of Trisha Illana Nayanthara (2015) fame. The upcoming film produced under Vinod Kumar's Mini Studio banner is scheduled to open in cinemas on September 15 ahead of the Vinayagar Chathurthi festivities and expectations are high after an intriguing and action-packed teaser was released a while back. The Mark Antony teaser showed Vishal and co-star SJ Suryah as gangsters, with the story then revealed taking the course of a time-travel adventure when they come across a telephone.
Mark Antony will see Vishal and SJ Suryah alongside an ensemble star cast featuring the likes of Ritu Varma of Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal (2020) fame playing the female lead, while Jailer star Sunil, Selvaraghavan, Abhinaya, Redin Kingsley, Y.
