The wait is over - Telugu superstar 'Megastar' Chiranjeevi's next film, the highly-anticipated Waltair Veerayya, has been officially announced for a worldwide theatrical release on January 13, 2023, ahead of the festive occasion of Sankranthi. Sharing a new poster featuring the iconic Telugu actor, the release date announcement for the upcoming mass-action entertainer directed by Bobby has been made by Mythri Movie Makers and the production banner will be looking to carry forward the momentum from the spectacular box office success they tasted with Allu Arjun's Pushpa and Mahesh Babu's Sarkaru Vaari Paata. The excitement surrounding Chiranjeevi's Waltair Veerayya is massive and Mythri Movie Makers is aiming for a big release on as many good screens as possible. The film is hitting theatres a day after Nandamuri Balakrishna's Veera Simha Reddy releases on January 12, which too has been bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers, while Vaarasudu, the Telugu version of 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Tamil film Varisu, is also set to come out for the big festival. As of now, Varisu has been confirmed to open in cinemas on January 12 by overseas distributors and the wait is now on for the official announcement of the release date of Vaarasudu from blockbuster Telugu producer Dil Raju. With the makers of Waltair Veerayya confirming the film’s release date, it will be a mighty interesting time for fans ahead, and theatres in the Telugu states are expected to sell tickets like hotcakes once the advance bookings begin.

Waltair Veerayya will see 'Megastar' Chiranjeevi and Shruti Haasan as the lead pair, with leading Telugu hero Ravi Teja appearing as a police officer, while Catherine Tresa, Rajendra Prasad, Bobby Simha, Vennela Kishore have been cast in pivotal roles, and youth sensation Urvashi Rautela also set to be seen in the song 'Boss Party'. The film has music composed by Devi Sri Prasad, whose songs in last year's pan-Indian blockbuster Pushpa turned out to be chart-topping hits.
