'Megastar' Chiranjeevi's next big film, the highly-anticipated God Father, is an official remake of National Award-winning Malayalam actor Mohanlal's critically-acclaimed 2019 box office blockbuster, Lucifer, and has been directed by leading Tamil filmmaker Mohan Raja. Produced by RB Choudary's Super Good Films in association with Konidela Production Company, the upcoming mass action thriller's teaser has been released ahead of the iconic Telugu actor birthday on Monday, August 22, and also features Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in crucial roles, while 'Lady Superstar' Nayanthara is playing the female lead.
The God Father teaser starts off with a voiceover introducing Chiranjeevi as the God Father, without showing him on the screen, as Nayanthara is seen making a grand entrance. The visuals then show Satya Dev playing the role of a politician and Samuthirakani as a police officer amidst the backdrop of a big political turmoil and chaos as the 'Megastar' arrives in style while taking on the bad guys effortlessly. The God Father teaser then progresses to the rocking entry of Salman Khan on a motorbike, who then joins Chiranjeevi in a jeep as the duo crash through a wall in an electrifying manner.
Chiranjeevi's God Father teaser has also dropped the announcement of the film's release date and will be coming out on the big screens worldwide on October 5 as a grand Ayudha Puja festive treat. Thani Oruvan fame director Mohan Raja will be looking to hit the bullseye in his Telugu debut with the Chiranjeevi-starrer and also leave a stamp of his own film despite it being a remake of Mohanlal's Lucifer. The film is carrying massive expectations as the original Malayalam version turned out to be a phenomenal success and all eyes are now on Chiranjeevi to deliver the same in Telugu. God Father will be getting a Hindi release as well and Salman Khan is reprising the role essayed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, who also directed the film in Malayalam. Composer Thaman. S, who is now the go-to man for the music in films in Telugu, is churning out the tunes and the background score for the film, which also has blockbuster director Puri Jagannadh in an important role alongside Bigg Boss Telugu season 4 fame Divi Vadthya.
