Master Mahendran, who has entertained people in a number of Tamil movies as a child, now returns as hero. While he has been finalized to play the lead roles in a number of films, this movie is titled Porida Pazhagu. The movie is being directed by debutant Sekar Bharathy and is currently being shot in and around Kanchipuram.

The story seems to revolve around illegal sand mining and the hero plays as a lorry driver for the head of the sand mafia played by Riaz Khan. It is said that Neelambari, who plays the lover of Mahendran, uses him to stop illegal land mining and defeat Riaz Khan.

Singer Bhavatharani, Ilayaraja daughter is composing music for this flick and lyrics penned down by Snehan, Pa Vijay and Hridhaya. Bhavatharani has earlier composed music for few short films and feature films.
