Talking about having worked in nearly 10 films with Vijay to date, the veteran actor informed how Deva during the early stages of the Tamil superstar's career was a big venture and expressed his happiness at collaborating with the actor once again in Leo. Prior to the reveal of Leo being the title of the Vijay-starrer, Mansoor Ali Khan was announced officially to be a part of the cast of the film by producer Lalit Kumar's 7 Screen Studio banner, with fans rejoicing at the news since Lokesh Kanagaraj had in earlier interviews over the years stated that he was initially the first choice to play the lead role in his 2019 blockbuster, Kaithi, with the part eventually going to Karthi.
