Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth's next big film, Lal Salaam, starring Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in the lead roles wrapped up its first schedule on Sunday evening, April 9, the filmmaker has announced on social media. Being produced by Lyca Productions and featuring music by Academy Award-winning composer A. R. Rahman, the upcoming film billed to be a sports drama has completed a major leg of filming in Pondicherry over the course of 34 days, with videos of the team in high spirits taking social media by storm. In the first video posted on her Instagram page, Aishwarya Rajinikanth wrote, "34 days and it’s a wrap this schedule my fam ! Thank you all for making this happen..and to you more than anyone else @vishnu_rangasamy_dop we are here to stay … ! #lalsalaam #thankfulgratefulblessed". Posting the same video again, she added about Lal Salaam saying, "Our life for the past 34 days here … thank you ! With all our noise and voice ! #happinessbychoice".
Vishnu Vishal has also been a part of the first schedule of Lal Salaam and a chunk of his important portions are said to have been shot. The videos show the actor to be a part of the team's celebrations and he is once again seen being his dynamic self. Social media has been abuzz that 'Superstar' Rajinikanth, who is set to be playing a key role in an extended cameo, is expected to join the upcoming schedule and fans will no doubt be looking to witness him in action on the sets of the film, which is set around cricket. This will be the first time Rajinikanth will be making an appearance in his elder daughter Aishwarya's directorial after he previously worked under his second daughter Soundarya Rajinkanth's direction in the 3D animated action film, Kochadaiiyaan, which came out in 2014.
A. R. Rahman, who has been in peak form after the sensational feedback to the songs in the Ponniyin Selvan films, will be coming out firing on all cylinders for the music in Lal Salaam, and we can expect memorable numbers once again from him. Lyca Productions' Lal Salaam is also Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth's fourth big directorial after 3 (2012), Vai Raja Vai (2015), and the documentary venture Cinema Veeran (2017), and it will be exciting to see what she has in store for everyone.
