The stage is set for Raghava Lawrence's Rudhran to take theatres by storm from April 14 and the excitement surrounding the mass action entertainer is getting bigger by the day. The film, which also marks the directorial debut of blockbuster producer S. Kathiresan of Five Star Creations, also stars youth sensation Priya Bhavani Shankar as the female lead, while Sarathkumar will be seen as a much-feared villain. With less than a week for Rudhran to hit screens, the film also coming out in Telugu under the title Rudrudu will have a grand pre-release event held at the Park Hyatt at Banjara Hills in Hyderabad on Monday, April 10.
Rudhran / Rudrudu is Lawrence's first big release after Muni 4: Kanchana 3, which went on to become one of the biggest box office successes of 2019, and as expected the buzz for the upcoming film is massive. Considering the actor-filmmaker enjoys a huge fan following in Telugu as well primarily because of his dance and choreography over the course of his illustrious career, he will be looking to make a big impression ahead of the film's release. Rudrudu is being released in the Telugu-speaking states by Tagore Madhu's Pixel Studios banner and the hit producer behind Tamil hits like Ghajini (2005) and Ayogya (2019) will be coming out all guns blazing in bringing out the film in as many screens as possible. The Rudhran trailer has already received a stellar response from fans, who once again have witnessed Raghava Lawrence foray into action on a much bigger scale in the visuals unveiled so far since most of the stunts are a notch above in the realm of commercial cinema. The film has several big names in the music department as well starting with the songs composed by National Award winner G. V. Prakash Kumar, followed by the background score done by Sam C. S., while the chart-topping hit 'Paadatha Pattellam' song has been recreated by Dharan Kumar. Kathiresan will look to hit the high note and this time as a director with Rudhran after scaling phenomenal heights as a producer with past box office hits like Polladhavan, Aadukalam, Jigarthanda, and last year's Diary.
