Esteemed actor and director duo Mammootty and B Unnikrishnan are all set to team up for the second time after over a decade after having previously worked together in the 2010 film Pramani. The rumors regarding the untitled project had started going about after it was confirmed that it will not start rolling in June as planned initially. However, now it has been confirmed that Mammootty will join the project after wrapping up his current project Rorschach. Another set of rumors suggest that Mammootty will be playing the role of a cop in the highly anticipated project. 

The film is touted to be a social thriller that will mark the megastar's comeback to police roles after a short hiatus. Mammootty is reported to take on the role of a senior police officer in this upcoming untitled project that will is to be scripted by the popular writer Uday Krishna. This directorial venture of Unnikrishnan is has started rolling on July 10 with a pooja ceremony. Mammootty joined the sets of the film on Monday (July 18). 

Earlier, it was also reported that Manju Warrier might play the female lead in the project, thus teaming up with Mammootty once again after the huge success of The Priest. However, it has now been suggested that Manju is not a part of the project anymore due to her busy schedule. Instead, the makers have reportedly approached lady superstar Nayanthara to play the female lead in the film. Other than her, the film is also said to star Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sneha, Amala Paul, Jinu Joseph, and Dileesh Pothan in pivotal roles. No other details regarding the crew have been released and we the audience are eagerly waiting for more updates.
