Sivakarthikeyan's first big film of 2023, Maaveeran, has released in theatres worldwide today (July 14) and the early reactions for the fantasy action drama on Twitter are now out. Directed by Mandela fame Madonne Ashwin under Arun Viswa's Shanthi Talkies banner and released across Tamil Nadu by Red Giant Movies, the film has taken a solid start at the box office, with the first audience response turning out to be largely positive. Maaveeran sees Sivakarthikeyan sharing screen space with Viruman heroine Aditi Shankar, Mysskin, Saritha, Suneel, Yogi Babu, among others, and features songs and a background score composed by Bharath Sankar.

With Sivakarthikeyan essaying the role of a cartoonist, who gets into a conflict with a politician played by Mysskin, Maaveeran takes a turn when a fantasy element is introduced, as per fans on social media, who are singing praises for the team for delivering a well-packaged theatre entertainer. With the Maaveeran first-day first show now over, several fans have taken to Twitter to talk about their latest movie-watching experience, while also sharing their opinions on the factors that have favored the film. Below are some Maaveeran Twitter reviews:

Released in reportedly more than 500 theatres across Tamil Nadu, Sivakarthikeyan earlier today conveyed his gratitude to fans informing them that Maaveeran will be best enjoyed by watching it with friends and family. He tweeted, "#Maaveeran #Mahaveerudu  Extremely happy to present you the fantasy action entertainer… I’m sure you wil love our team‘s effort 👍😊😊 Enjoy it in theatres with your friends and family ❤️ #VeerameJeyam #DhairiyameJeyam 💪👍".
