The Movie Artistes' Association's (MAA) much anticipated cricket match, organized for Tollywood actors to raise fund for extending financial assistance to poor and downtrodden film artistes, will be held on February 14, the organizers announced in a press briefing at Club Jayabheri, Hyderabad.

Balakrishna, Murali Mohan, Jayasudha, Vishnu, Srikanth, Rajiv Kanakala, Sivaji Raja, Ali, Hema, Ashok Kumar, Kalyan Ram, Siva Krishna, Taraka Ratna, Kadambari Kirankumar, Bengurulu Padma, Raja Ravindra, Manik, O Kalyan and others were present during the briefing. Jayasudha and Balakrishna unveiled the logo of the cricket match.

"We recently arranged a star night to assist the relief operations for the flood hit victims in the state and all sections cooperated with the event and made it a big success. There are about 900 artistes in the industry, but very few among them are rich. The majority is hit by poverty. Though we launched the pension scheme for them, we could not reach the expected levels due to financial crunch. So, the Tollywood heroes have now come forward to organize a cricket match to raise funds." Murali Mohan said.

Balakrishna, Jayasudha, Ali, Rajiv Kanakala, Srikanth and Vishnu spoke during the occasion and sought the coordination from all in the film fraternity.
