'Thalapathy' Vijay's Leo is continuing its box office dominance around the world as the Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial featuring music by Anirudh Ravichander has collected 540+ crores in global collections. The big announcement of the latest box office report came out on Tuesday, October 31, on the 12th day of the film's theatrical screening, with the team of the mass action drama sharing a new poster revealing the massive collection numbers. Leo has already been declared to be an industry hit and is already a significant box office success, and is en route to becoming one of the biggest biggies in Tamil cinema history.

Leo already has to its credit several big records in its kitty after it recorded the highest day 1 worldwide gross collection for an Indian film in 2023 collecting 148.5 crores+ on opening day. The Vijay-starrer also registered the highest total gross collection for a film in the history of Tamil cinema within seven days of its release last week. The stunning response to Leo has been the same in all centers it has been released, with the film's strong theatrical run set to continue for the next few days as there are no big Tamil releases till Diwali next month.

Vijay's Leo opened amidst massive hype as it marked the second-time collaboration for the Tamil cinema superstar with director Lokesh Kanagaraj and composer Anirudh after their blockbuster, Master (2021). The film has triumphed on all fronts, including establishing itself in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU), with previous Lokesh Kanagaraj directorials, Kaithi (2019) starring Karthi and Kamal Haasan's Vikram (2022). Leo has Vijay paired with Trisha once again after films Ghilli (2004), Thirupaachi (2005), Aathi (2006), and Kuruvi (2008), with Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Mysskin, and Sandy master cast in negative roles, with Gautham Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, Mathew Thomas, among others also making appearances. With Leo continuing to witness a strong outing in theatres and the demand for tickets among audiences continuing to be high, all sights are now on the film's lifetime box office returns in the days ahead.
