DID YOU KNOW?: Late Manobala launched this leading Tamil filmmaker - here's the full list of films he produced!

Famous actor and director Manobala passed away at the age of 69 due to health issues on 3rd May. He has acted in many hit films over the years and is known for doing comedy roles. The recent film that he acted in were Waltair Veerayya, Kondral Paavam and Ghosty. As a director, he has also directed many films from 1982 to 2002. Apart from the silver screen, The actor has also appeared in some Television serials and has also appeared in many reality shows as a judge and participant including Cook With Comali. 

Apart from being an actor and director, Late Manobala turned producer a few years back and launched one of the leading filmmakers in the industry H. Vinoth. The debut film of the filmmaker, who has done three films with Ajith Kumar was, Sathuranga Vettai. It got positive feedback from movie goers and fans. The film also features Natraj, Ishaara Nair, Ponvannan and Ilavarasu. The film was produced by the actor under his banner Manobala's Picture House with SR Cinema and was distributed by Thirrupathi Brothers.

The second film that he produced was Paambhu Sattai. The film has Bobby Simha, Guru Somasindaram, Bhanu, Charle and Keerthy Suresh in lead roles and was directed by debutant filmmakers Adam Dasan. Manobala co-produced the film with K. Gangadharan and D. Natrajan of Cinema City and Abi & Abi Pictures. It got a lukewarm response.

The next film that was announced under his banne was Sathuranga Vettai 2. A teaser for the film was released five years ago featuring Trisha and Arvind Swamy in leading roles. The sequel created a huge buzz at the time of announcement. The film also has leading actors Prakash Raj, Radha Ravi, Naasar, Chandini, Sreeman, and others in important roles. The movie was also written by H. Vinoth and was directed by N.V. Nirmal Kumar of Salim fame. The release of the film has been delayed for a long time.
