Manobala was a popular actor, who was known for comedic supporting roles. He had acted in over 121 films and died in 3rd May, today, due to health issues. The 69-year-old Veteran actor was admitted recently in a private hospital in Chennai and was undergoing treatment for liver problems. He was survived by his wife Usha and son Harish. The actor has played many memorable roles over the years and was know for his lean physique. He also directed many films and has produced some films including the critically acclaimed Sathuranga Vettai.
Many leading names from the film industry have been paying their tributes and condolences to the late actor Manobala. One of the top-tier actors of the Tamil industry, “Superstar’ Rajinikanth said “I am saddened by the demise of the famous director, actor and my good friend Manobala. My condolences to his family members, May his soul rest in peace.” Manobala has acted in many hits films with Rajinikanth, including Chandramukhi, Lingaa and Kuselan. His role in Chandramukhi was a memorable one, as he played a fake exorcist who gets frightened by the ghost and is chased away.

Apart from 'Superstar' Rajinikanth many other actors, producers and artists in the entertainment industry have also shared their condolences on the passing of Manobala. Well-known director and actor Selvaraghavan tweeted a picture of Manobala and said “RIP Manobala sir. Always my sweet friend”. Producer BOFTA Dhanajayan has tweeted “Shocking & it’s unbelievable such a sweet person and a good friend, Manobala sir passed away. Heartfelt condolences to the family. May his soul rest in peace”. Actor Harish Kalyan said “Heartbroken to hear about the loss of Manobala sir. Sending my heartfelt condolences to his loved ones during this difficult time.” Many fans have also paid tributes and shared their condolences to the actor.
