Khushbu turns singer
Khushbu has proved that she is one of the most multi-faceted personalities of Kollywood; she is a successful big and small screen actress, a producer, a homemaker, and now she is a playback singer too! Yes! Khushbu has sung a song for the film Magane En Marumagane which stars Vivek.
In fact, when she was invited by Gajendran to sing for Magane En Marumagane, Khushbu was as surprised as you are after reading these lines! Gajendran thought of Khushbu immediately when he decided the song ‘Natchathiram Boomiyile Paaru’ should have a voice which is familiar and famous but not as a singer! He planned to make it casual but beautiful. He was very sure that Khushbu would be able to pull it off and provide good results.
It is heard Khushbu entered the recording studio at noon and left before 4 p.m.! Wow! It is wonderful, isn’t it?! For the first time in her life, she sang for a film and she did it so easily. But Khushbu says that it is all because of director Gajendran’s encouragement and the efforts of music director Dheena and lyricist Snegan. Both Dheena and Snegan took great a deal of effort in making her understand the nuances of singing and getting the lyrics correctly, which made her work easy. It is heard that Snegan even made the lyrics simpler to help this beautiful actress-turned-singer. Once the recording was over, even Khushbu could not believe her ears – the song came out so beautifully!
Though Khushbu underplays her efforts humbly, it is not an easy job for an actress to come out to the studio all of a sudden (no matter how good a singer she is at home!) and to give a performance like a pro!
