Kavya's marriage annulled
Popular Malayalam actress Kavya Madhavan's marriage with Nischal Chandra was officially annulled on Monday by the Ernakulam family court. Kavya and Chandra were married in February 2009.
The couple decided to separate in October last year and filed a joint divorce petition at the court. The settlement came after several rounds of talks. According to George Sebastian, a Kerala Congress leader who mediated in the talks, both parties appeared in the court on May 24 to finalize the proceedings.
Kavya agreed to withdraw the two complaints filed against Chandran and his family as part of the settlement. (She had earlier filed a dowry harassment complaint against Chandra and his family.)
