Karthik's 2009 achievement
Karthik Kumar has tons of reasons to celebrate 2009. Ask him if there was anything about the year that completely put him off and he just cannot think of anything to say. He oozes cheer and optimism which has everything to do with two important facets of his life – theatre and cinema. His theatre productions Evam is being launched nationally in January and that has him thrilled. Futher, his anti-hero role in Ninaithale Inikum has helped him break away from the NRI maapilai image that had him shackled in Kollywood. And that calls for celebration of course! But one thing that he is extremely proud of and probably rates as one of his biggest achievements lately is the fact that he has shed EIGHT kg, a feat he has been trying for a couple of years now. 2009 proved�a lucky year after all!
