Karthi must be riding high on the success of his latest release, Sulthan, which is performing well at the box office. The film which has attracted family audiences and film buffs is doing good business and has become the next successful film in Tamil cinema after Master. Directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan of Remo fame, the film had an interesting premise and packaging which made the family audiences give a thumbs up. To thank the audience for supporting and celebrating the film in the theatres, Karthi and the film's leading lady Rashmika Mandanna came together for an Instagram live chat session. During the interaction, both of them answered several interesting questions posed by the fans. Karthi, during the chat session, confirmed his next set of projects.

As we all know, Karthi plays one of the leads in Mani Ratnam's historical epic, Ponniyin Selvan which features Chiyaan Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Trisha as the other leads. Karthi confirmed that he will be doing a film with his Komban director Muthaiya under the production of his brother and actor Suriya. The project has been in speculation for the past few weeks and the news has now been confirmed by Karthi himself.

Talking about his lineup, Karthi said, "After Ponniyin Selvan, I am doing one film with director PS Mithran who made Irumbu Thirai. There is one more film with director Muthaiya and my brother is producing that film,". Karthi's upcoming lineup surely sounds exciting and it has a good variety. There is one historical epic film, there is one action drama (PS Mithran film), and there is one rural family entertainer (Muthaiya film). Talking about Karthi's film with director PS Mithran, it is said to be a stylish action entertainer that will have strong content.

Mithran is known for his research work and we can expect that to continue with the Karthi starrer as well. The film will be produced by S Lakshman Kumar's Prince Pictures and it will have music composed by GV Prakash Kumar. The young composer has been in fantastic form and he will be looking forward to maintaining the momentum.
