'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Haasan is leaving no stone unturned in making his film Vikram the biggest release of the year as the iconic actor and producer Mahendran's Raaj Kamal Films International (RKFI) on Wednesday made yet another grand announcement. Set to open in cinemas worldwide on June 3, the makers have revealed that Vikram will premiere on the streaming platform Disney+ Hotstar, while the satellite rights have been acquired by the Disney Star Group and will be telecast on Star Vijay (Tamil), Star Maa (Telugu), Star Suvarna (Kannada), Star Gold (Hindi) and Star Asianet (Malayalam) after its theatrical release. 

There has been heavy pre-release activity around Vikram over the past few days as the film's Tamil Nadu distribution rights were acquired by Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies, followed by the Kerala theatrical rights going to Shibu Thameens' Riya Shibu. Likewise, the overseas distribution rights for the upcoming action thriller have been bagged by AP international, with Prime Media securing the theatrical release rights in the USA. Vikram has tremendous buzz surrounding it and the latest announcements are no doubt massive in terms of the trade. Check out the latest release statement for Vikram below: 

At present, the countdown is on for the Vikram audio launch scheduled to take place on May 15, followed by the trailer release, which is set to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on May 18. The story and plot are under tight wraps and not much is known about the pan-Indian venture, which has National Award-winning actors 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi and Malayalam star Fahadh Faasil sharing screen space with Kamal Haasan and their inclusion is no doubt the biggest USP of Vikram. 

Apart from Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, and Fahadh Faasil, Vikram's star cast also includes Narain, Chemban Vinod, Kalidas Jayaram, and Gayathrie, while reports state that Bigg Boss Tamil season 4 sensation Shivani Narayanan and popular television actresses Maheswari Chanakyan and Myna Nandhini are expected to be seen in pivotal roles. Furthermore, 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander, who has been in sensational form over the past few years, is expected to come out all guns blazing with yet another memorable album and thunderous background score.
