Kamal Haasan is currently shooting for his highly anticipated action drama, Vikram which is directed by star filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film has got high expectations among the fans and film buffs and it is believed to deliver an enthralling experience for the audience. Kamal Haasan's last release was Vishwaroopam 2 which released in August 2018 and it has been 3.5 years since we saw Kamal Haasan the actor in action. The shooting of Vikram is progressing at a brisk pace in the city and having said that, the team has recently shot an important sequence inside an iconic theatre in Chennai.

Yes! A minor portion of Vikram was recently shot at Vettri Theatres, Chromepet, which is one of the iconic and popular theatres in the city. Rakesh Gowthaman, the Managing Director of Vettri Theatres, expressed his gratitude to the makers of Vikram for shooting there. Interestingly, Rakesh Gowthaman got an autograph of Kamal Haasan, signed on the picture of the star actor's last visit to the theatre which happened in 1979 during the 100 days celebration of Kalyana Raman. Sharing the picture, Rakesh tweeted, "It’s a great honour & a moment of pride that Padmashri Dr. @ikamalhaasan Ji happened to step in #Vettri premises today for #Vikram shooting. The last time he came here was for the 100days celebration of #KalyanaRaman in 1979. Big thanks to @Dir_Lokesh bro for choosing us. @RKFI".

Vikram is produced by Raaj Kamal Films International and has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The film features Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil as the other leads alongside Kamal Haasan and the powerful screen presence of the talented trio will be nothing short of a magnificent treat for the fans. Narain, Kalidas Jayaram, Shivani Narayanan, VJ Maheshwari, and Myna Nandhini are also a part of the star cast. Vikram is slated to release in theatres in summer 2022.
