Shivani Narayanan is on a signing spree and has announced her next film, which has her joining the cast of popular actor-filmmaker RJ Balaji's next venture. Sharing the big news on Friday on the festive occasion of Pongal, the actress took to social media and posted a photo of herself with RJ Balaji. Seen in a red checked shirt and torn jeans, Shivani wrote, "Happy to be a part of RJ Balaji’s Next. It’s a pleasure to work with the talented director @rjbalaji." As of now, details surrounding the project remain unknown, and reports state she will be playing the female lead. The project is also RJ Balaji's next after he wrapped production on the official remake of the hit Hindi film, Badhaai Ho, and will be hoping to carry forward the momentum from the success of his directorial debut, Mookuthi Amman, which had Nayanthara in the lead role. The new RJ Balaji film is Shivani's next big venture after she was recently announced to be a part of director Ponram's VJS 46, which stars 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi in the lead role and is being produced under the Sun Pictures banner. It is being stated that she will be seen playing the role of a cop in the film, which also has popular model Anukreethy Vas as the female lead, with Cooku with Comali fame Pugazh as well announced to be a part of the rural entertainer. Shivani became a household name across Tamil Nadu after her stint on Bigg Boss Tamil season 4 in 2020. Post the success of her appearance on the hit Tamil reality TV show, the youth sensation landed her first big role in 'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Haasan's mammoth film, Vikram, which also features Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, Narain, Kalidas Jayaram, Santhana Bharathi among others in crucial roles. 

Prior to Bigg Boss and her upcoming films, Shivani Narayanan debuted on the Vijay TV serial, Pagal Nilavu, and subsequently went on to star in shows like Kadaikutty Singam, Rettai Roja, including making appearances on Saravanan Meenatchi 3 and Raja Rani. In Vikram, she is reportedly playing one of the love interests to Vijay Sethupathi alongside Myna Nandhini and popular VJ-actress Maheswari Chanakyan.
